Northeastern Federation of Stamp Clubs Minutes of the May 6, 2007 Annual General Meeting held during Philatelic Show 2007 at the Holiday Inn, Boxboro, MA.
REMINDER OF NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be held at 1:00 PM on Sept. 9, 2007 during the 2nd Sunday Bourse at Spellman Museum of Stamps and Philatelic History, Weston, MA.
President Wayne Rindone called the meeting to order at 2:06 PM.

There was a quorum of the BOD.
Secretary's Report: The Secretary's Report was accepted as distributed.
Treasurer's Report: Bruce Bolduc reported that the cash balance for the federation is $10,336.73
(not including Philatelic Show 2007).
Old Business: Peter Pierce mentioned that eight speakers are available to give talks on various topics (including Washington/Franklin, Revenues). Stipends will be given for speakers' travel costs. There is enthusiasm for speakers to give the talks.
New Business: Philatelic Show 2007: Jeff Shapiro reported this is the best show for which he has been responsible.
Jeff noted that only four of the close to 1000 attendees complained of having to pay admission charges. $2,980 was raised through admission charges. There are 305 exhibit frames, eight organizations and societies meeting at the show. There were 91 attendees at the show's banquet which is an attendance record.
The Show Treasurer, Wayne Rindone, requested that all bills be sent to him ASAP but definitely by August 1, 2007. The show books will close on Sept. 1,2007.
Jeff purchased an Overhead Project for the show; cost was $136.49 . Bruce proposed that the Overhead projector be bought for the federation and to reimburse Jeff for the cost. The projector is to be stored in the museum. The proposal was seconded and approved.
Youth Activities: Youth who attended the activities included 30 who came on a bus from Connecticut. There were 350 prizes given to attendees. Attendance was about the same as last year.
Bourse: Mike Mead noted information about other Philatelic Shows balances: Westpex: $100,000; Napex: $50,000; Mid-West: $40,000; Philadelphia: no surplus.

Philatelic Show 2008: Due to the hotel giving away our usual date, next year's show will include the Sunday of Mother's Day.
The clubs need to send to the federation updated club rosters.
The Futures Committee will meet at the museum on June 10, 2007 at 1 pm.

A proposal was made, seconded and approved for the Secretary to cast one vote to approve the above slate.
