Northeastern Federation of Stamp Clubs Minutes of the September 9,2007 NEFSC BOD meeting held during the 2nd Sunday Bourse at Spellman Museum of Stamps and Philatelic History, Weston, MA.

REMINDER OF NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be held at 1:00 PM on Oct. 21, 2007 during Walpex 2007 at Minuteman Technical High School, Route 2A Lexington, MA.

President Jack Miller called the meeting to order at 1:04 PM.

There was a quorum of the BOD.
In Mark Butterline's absence, Len Andexler recorded the minutes.

Secretary's Report:
The Secretary's Report was accepted as distributed.

Treasurer's Report:
Bruce Bolduc reported that the cash balance for the federation is $21,554.14 as of July 31, 2007 (not including Philatelic Show 2007). The proposed NEFSC 2008 Budget shows a Total Net Loss of $600.00 due to depreciation of the Philatelic Show frames.

Old Business:
Federation Web Site: Jack mentioned that Mark Buttlerline has redesigned the web site and the web site responsibility has transitioned to him from John DuBois.

Philatelic Show 2007: Jeff reported many positive comments about PS2007 from around the country! There were some negative comments relative to charges; most were favorable comments. Wayne provided the final PS 2007 Financial Report. Due to credits from PS2006 (improper hotel charges) towards PS2007 and show charging the Net Income for the show is $8464.31 . Future shows will not have this special hotel credit and will include higher hotel administrative charges. If not for the special hotel credit, the PS 2007 Net Income would have been about $5000.

A proposal was made, seconded and passed to set aside $5000 from the NEFSC balance for future replacements of the exhibit frames.

New Business:
Philatelic Show 2008: Jeff mentioned that due to the hotel giving away our usual date, next year's show will be on May 9-11 (which include the Sunday of Mother's Day). We anticipate having no charge for admission on Sunday, May 11 (Mother's day). Jeff suggested that the theme for PS2008 could be "Anniversary of the Model T" or Space related item (first orbiting of a satellite).
