Minutes of the May 2, 2010 Northeastern Federation of Stamp Clubs BoD Meeting held at the Boxborough Holiday Inn in Boxborough, Massachusetts during Philatelic Show 2010.

REMINDER OF NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 2PM at the Spellman Museum in Weston, Massachusetts.

There was a quorum of the BOD. The meeting was called together by President Mark Butterline. The meeting opened at 2:05 PM with 11 members present at the Board Room of the Holiday Inn in Boxborough, Massachusetts.

Secretary's Report:
Minutes of March 14, 2010 were approved as distributed.

Treasurer's Report:
Federation is solvent. No outstanding items. Final report due after show.

Philatelic Show Report:
Theme was 50th anniversary of Spellman Museum. Attendance down from serveral years ago. Almost 200 hotel room-nights sold, which is much better than last year. Few admission problems. Mike Mead reported that most dealers were happy. Discussion on future locations for show.

Youth Activities Report:
Eight youth came from Groton, CT. No exhibits. Met with several home-schooled youth and parents. Acton Post Office gave fun bags.

Old Business:
Discussion of recent change to IRS non-profit tax rules. Will be reviewing status of NEFSC. Computer projector purchased. Being used at the show.

New Business:
Election of Officers.

Slate of officers approved unanimously.

President Mark Butterline appointed Nancy Clark, Yamil Kouri and himself to a committee to study the feasibility of staging the 2026 international philatelic exhibition in Boston. Report due at Philatelic Show 2012.

President Mark Butterline adjourned the meeting at 3:32 pm.
